Training the Trainer
August 29-30, 2013
The main objective of this program is to provide instruction for those who are already involved in technical code-based training in the electrical industry. This course focuses on providing accurate technical material and the methods and means by which to present it to others in a uniform and consistent style. It is designed to help instructors take their skills to the next level by building upon the fundamental experience they already possess. Instructors in the electrical field seldom bring the same level of competency in teaching and presenting technical material as they possess in their chosen career or field. Just because one has skills and knowledge in the electrical industry, does not mean that he or she can transfer the same attributes to the student in an effective manner. Designed to improve one’s technical knowledge and teaching skills, this course provides valuable information on presentation techniques, styles, and tools. IAEI is concerned about instructors representing the organization properly and presenting the material in the best and most professional manner. How the material is presented in seminar or workshop settings is a direct reflection of the parent organization’s commitment to education and training. The goal is to provide this training for anyone who wishes to enhance his abilities as an electrical code instructor and to build organizational as well as individual credibility. This course will benefit those involved in IAEI instruction at the section, chapter, and division levels.
